There is a split collar that goes under the hub nut, one side is tapered to centralise in the drive flange, the other side is flat for the hub nut to tighten against.

On your lcb have you already done manifold nuts up then try and fit the y piece?

Whats going to break next!?

thank you top i will see if i can see anything from my boxes of bits when i took it al to bits, i can see the taper on the outside of the flange now,. thanks.

slim - yeah i bolted the 2 bracnhes on and left the center banch loose then tried to fit the Y-piece both ways it just tries to run into the bulkhead like, verry confusing. i know jimmy tried to fit this one last summer and gave up and got a different one but i dont know if it was the same problem he had... will find out tho.

thanks. Dan

I had similar problem if manifold nuts were tightened y piece wouldnt fit so in end had to leave manifold completely loose fit y piece then tighten up manifold. Bit of a mess about but worked none the less

Whats going to break next!?

wolfie are you far from me? postage will take longer than it will to go to local mini breaker but if its posible to pop round tomorrow then thats better...just read your in swindon, thats a way from leeds i think? lol thanks anyways.

slim i have taken the lcb off for now (had to put the gear selector back on and dident know you couldent do it with the lcb in, i will tyr it once more with the y peice first.

jimmy as you can tell i got both bits down ok but the y peice just hits the bulkhead, even if you turn it upside down so i havent got it the wrong way lol

thanks. Dan
