What kind of mounting do these seats have?

I fitted RS Turbo recaro seats using the original seat rails i just had to make additional holes for the the rear mounting points as the front ones fitted to the mini cross section like the original seats did.

Whats going to break next!?

If you fit new front seats they need to lift or the back of the seat moves for the mot or you need too remove the rear seats for the mot and rear seat belts if fitted

When you say back of the seat moves is that as in tilting forward? as they do in 3 dr hatchbacks?

Not very sunny swanage

ive fitted a set of these..... mine are a little unconventional actually in that ive just bolted them solidly to the floor, no subframes etc..... i was messing around making up subframes, but when i fitted them and sat in with my helmet etc on i was unhappy with the amount of clearance around my head and the hieght i was sitting at.... so the subframes got ditched and i used the existing brackets on the seats to fix em in.....

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!

nutter driver which parts of the subframe did you take off??

I cant work out where you mean, all mine seems to be part of the actual seat. Did you cut off some of the subframe do you remember?

ill get a photo of mine tomorow at the bottom.

When ive fitted it in place so that one of the rear "legs" is at the right angle to bolt to the exhaust tunnel, one is flato n the floor and two front ones bolt to the cross member it sits there happy, but its FAR too high up!!

I dont want to drive it like that!!

to fit yours behind the crossmember did you chop out your rear bins?

thankyou

bollox feebs, sorry... you pm'd me about this didnt you.... ill try and get some photos later, (and of the fuel lines as well - the ones i promised you about two weeks ago?!?!(-sorry)) and ill explain when i email the photos, mostly because without looking at them i cant remeber what i did!!! lol!!!!

in a nutshell, most of the subframe is gone, no runners, so they are fixed, and yes they are mounted behind the crossmember, i have no rear bins or rear seat.... its my car, i couldnt get the seat to sit how i wanted witht the rear seat/bins there, so they had a meeting with mr grinder......

pm me if i forget........
