best methods?

just been tryign to clean up the one i have got and flush it out (both inside and out) as want air flowign through it freely on the outside, and dont want any shite that may be on the inside getting into my engine :) is there any particular houshold cleaning products that are good at gleaning but leave ally alone?

found a paint brush is soft enough to not damage the fins but it isnt strong enough to shift soem of the crap between them *angry*

any ideas?

could you soak it overnight in soapy water to losen the dirt.

Then maybe flush it out with a hosepipe?

certainly give it a try, jsut worried about the salt in soap tarnishing / corroding the ally. i want it to work well, but want it looking good too *tongue*

Well if you rinse with fresh water afterwards you'll have no worries of salt corrosion :p

Perhaps you could use high pressure air to blow through the fins and remove stubborn dirt?

Whats going to break next!?

Ha Ha Ha yes TFR is corrosive but you are using it 50/50 and FOR HALF / HOUR and by washing out with hot water will remove all the TFR from the cooler so you will be ok

DON'T use a powerfull hose or pressure washer. You'll bend over the fins before you know it - which isn't great for flow.

Anyone want the T-shirt? LOL
