Mg Metro 1275cc, Maniflow Stage 1, Rr Tuned @ 70hp

I have for sale a MG Metro 1275cc A+ engine which has been in my mini since August.

I bought the engine off a well respected member of turbominis, the car had just come out of an MG Metro with one lady owner and 37k on the clock. I paid £100 excluding distributor and rocker cover.

I put the engine in my Mini last august, and have added the following:
[*]Alloy Rocker Cover
[*]Fully rebuilt HIF44 Carb (Kit costs £65)
[*]Maniflow 1 7/8" full straight through exhaust system, Maniflow Stage II LCB, Alloy Inlet Manifold, PiperX cone filter (~£200 from somerfords)
[*]New lumenition leads, new NGK plugs, new dizzy cap (all less than 150 miles old!!)
[*]New genuine coil, 20 miles old cost £17
[*]Full static tune, health check and RR tune by ACDodd. Including ACDodd Distributor, and custom needle putting down xBHP @ XRPM and 77.58 lb ft @ 3500RPM, 70.75BHP @ 5400RPM (costing £150).

Including the Purchase of the engine I have spent over £600 getting this engine set up perfect, with pretty much all new ancilleries bar the alternator! I have spent alot of time and effort with this and no corners have been cut. The oil has been changed a few times over about 2500 miles!

This would make a nippy mini with around 100ish BHP per tonne.. returning excellent fuel economy.

You would be able to drive my car with this engine in it before removal, just for peace of mind you can see how good it really is.

I have been totally honest about this sale, there is no smoking or knocking, everything to my knowledge is spot on.

If you want an engine which is ready to drop straight in, with a decent chunk of power and a lovely noise, fully RR tuned by once of the best A-series tuners in the country then this is for you.

Also worth noting a brand new clutch slave cylinder (£20 i think) has been fitted, and a new clutch plate when the engine went in!

He was after a reliable A series .lol
This sounds like it could be just what he's after.

Are you selling it with a 'box because he's fitting it into a 1964 mini so the gear linkage would be different?
