Hello everyone.

This is something I've been wanting to post for a few months now, as it's really getting me down.

This site used to be the single best tech forum for the A-Series on the whole internet. I felt proud that Iain and I had managed to come up with a little corner of the internet that people actually wanted to read.

These days, it seems like 50% of the posts turn into slagging matches.

Have you noticed that lots of faces don't post anymore? Even the big companies don't post anymore. When was the last time you saw VMAX or Avonbar post anything? I'm surprised that Morspeed still bother to read the site after the last few weeks.

I want the site to go back to the old way. So, any bitching - and your post gets deleted. If it continues, the thread goes. If you want to bitch, go and post on minifinity. We don't need it here.

Second that! Never joined minifinity for that reason and left TMF for the same reason.

As far as I am concerned anyone can do what ever they want to a mini and I still think good luck to them even If I hate it ...

Individuality is priceless !!

And as for asking "stupid" questions … we all started somewhere didnt we ?

i think some of the bitching is misunderstanding how people say things as you dont understand peoples tone of voice with the written word. however there has been some real bitching

i see what your getting at Alex,BUT, if some young kid comes on speiling tosh can we rip him,
after all, if its insulting to my intelegence [if thats possible] why shouldn't i have a dig if someone appears to be fibbing, .or missquoting from hearsay.
as you may tell from my post count i don't have'nt had much to say recently ,i do the odd banter now and then ,but usually with those who know me closely so as not to offend relative strangers. but when i do have an oppinion on a matter i would like to think i could say my peace if the need arose.

y carl i cant see that putting an opinion forward or constructive critisism should cause issues, I think what Alex and the rest of us who agree with his post is to stop the plain-outright-bitching-flaming, not the 'banter' which i think we can all take on the nose.

i agree chaps. i bloody hate these slagging matches. i admit, i have done it but i promise on scouts honour and my welder, and my tools i wont tell anyone else if i think they are a tosspot.

i agree theres been a bit of hoo har going on recently, but dunno about this deleting threads and this whole sensorship business, y'know.

Ive noticed that Tom Fentons been stepping in on a lot of threads where the banters turned a bit sour, so feel confident in the fact he'll be there if it happens again.


I just think that at the end of the day, people have the right to be wankers, and other people have the right to object/laugh at them.

what i like about this forum is the way that everyone seems to rember that every1 has to start somewhere, and i dont feel stupid asking basic questions. learning loadz.

as long as we can see your trying, and have taken time to do a quick search to see if the question has been answered before, then we are always willing to help!
