I hope this impresses, as you can see these were taken back in 1994 so you can imagine the fun i used to have with all the Ford boys back then as MR Ivanhoew said Bl**dy fast. when i have a bit more time i will sit down and tell you all about it.

that looks lovely! *happy*

So, what are the benifits of suck though then? Was it just an exercise in engineering?

An exersise in engineering was a good reason and to be different
the advantages being sucking through and compressing petrol and air the fuel cools so i could run 15 psi boost without the thought of an intercooler although i did have a crude water methanol injection system in place for any detonation. No need for the carb to be sealed for any loss of boost pressure. No need to fit a high pressure fuel pump and return as the carb works as normaly asperated would. I used to run a second throttle butterfly in the inlet system after the compressor so when you shut off the throttle there was no vacume placed through the turbo thus drawing the oil out of the bearings i can now remember changing the compressor back plate for a renault 5 one with the carbon seal to prevent this thus not needing my second butterfly. Compression was lowered using a 2.5 - 3mm stainless spacer plate and 2 head gaskets its been so long now i can't remember all the figures i will have to dig out all my old paper work. It runs a mini sprint road race head bronze guides stainless valves (not sodium filled) and i never had any problems. The oil return is into the primary gear housing right on top of the gears in the breather hole so i had lovely quiet drop gears with there own oil feed as such. My i could go on forever must have a rest now before i go into overload ! latter.
