Just had a look at a set of second hand drops I got-They were cheapish as the bloke said ''Split my engine yesterday to find that the primary gear front bush is worn, which means it'll need replacing"
Is this the inside(larger one) as this appears split misaligned and a bit dark. The top hat one is still shiny copper colour.

Any tips on changing them

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I need to have the rear bush changed and "reamed" ? Do you guys know of anyone in the UK who can do this?
I guess that's cheaper than doing it over here.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

I purchased a set of drops to find the bushes had not been finished so I pulled the bushes out of the original primary gear and fitted those to my new straight cut primary gear and the bore dimension was bang on the money.

They come out real easy.

The problem here is that we have several primaries with worn bushes and need them replaced. We are searching a place who could do that for us.
