First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

Argh ive confused myself

Where would be best to mount a thermostaic electric fan controller

-In the top hose where the water temperature is hot, as it comes out of the engine

-In the bottom hose where the water has been cooled by the rad and is entering the engine again

I always thought the top hose, however after giving it some thought today, I was thinking that if its in the bottom hose it will sense if the water is not being cooled well enough and then can turn on the fan to increase the cooling capabilities...

What are your thoughts?
Thanks

bottom hose would be my choice, not so much because of where it is in relationg to engine temp/coolant temp, but because it'd get a much more steady water supply and would be a more stable and regular reading.

I've seen the future and tbh its Pie
