dear me!

ive always used metro rear view mirrors in minis as they are larger, have a dip facility, and jujst stick onto the windscreen instead of needing to pierce the headliner and use a grotty yellowing sucker

however it fell off towards the end of last year, and i re stuck it on last week and found it on the floor this weekend

The method i use is

-a sticky pad from motorworld
-heat the mirror up with my sisters hair dryer and pop the pad on there
-heat the glass up from the outside, and then hold the mirror on for a couple of minutes whilst it cools

I presume the pads are just crap, does anyone know where a decent super sticky one can be aquired?

cheers

Nic stop being a gyppo using the cheap and nasty mirror fixing pads, you can buy a proper kit that comes with a small piece of mesh, and then some posh glue stuff.
If you follow the directions it is simple enough, has held the mirror on my Xsara firmly in place for 12 months now, and that is quite a bulky item, so it should do a good job on a lightweight metro item. If you like I can get you one of these kits locally to me.
