not sure what its called, but its the pipe up from the compressor housing that would connect to the plenum..

anyways.. its a bit tight for space to get intercooler pipework off the top of it as the plenum's intercooler takeoff is just above it. A picture tells a thoudsand words....

and if i turn it 180 degs it has much more room but is this ok?

I'm not sure if its good to have sharp 90 degree bends in the intercooler pipes or not. Do you all use the standard pipe or have modded ones?

Most people keep it in the standard posistion but cut it down and fit a 90 degree hose on Mike .

ive got HC racing moddified pipes well pleased with them there perfect cant post a pic no batts for camera, sorrry.

you may gain extra space buy making the pipes youve already got shorter?*smiley*

or find somewhere/ somebody that can weld aluminium and have the compressor pipe cut and welded at your desired angle

y carl, as much as i hate having to cut brand new stuff, i think cutting the plenum pipe back an inch or so is the way to go.

Are 90 deg bends a no-no? As in how much does it affect the flow?

On my T3 I made my oene out of a piece of 2" exhaust pipe and a bit of plate. ~It came out at 90 deg to that pointing towards the rad.

My T2 exit is a bit like that (position wise) and I have a 90 deg silicone pipe followed by a 45 deg to get it to the front.

As a rule of thumb I think you lose 1/2psi with each 90 deg bend.
