I need a set of valve stem seals to go on my brothers inlets. I looked in the garage last night (as I knew I had some) and unfortunatly I've only got 3.

Has anyone got a spare one getting all lonely in a corner somewhere?

Cheers

Is that right.

I've never found anyone who sells them seperatly, hence why I asked the question.

my exhaust valves dont have any stem seals on them at all apparently the dont need them.
the guy at avonbar rekons to use good used seals on the exhaust stems
i stripped my old head twice and put new stem seals on and twice they ended up popping off and sticking on the top off the valve stem *tongue*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Even if they go up and down with the valve they should prevent pil running down the valve stem.

For the price they cost its just as easy to put 8 on :) also depends which guides you use i think as some have a groove which the sprung stem seals sit in nicely.

:) each to there own mind :)

I have heard that if you put valve seals on sodium filled valves, that the rubber gets pinched in the larger valve and the valve can stick

clear Jim , we can't use genuine valve stem seals as they are to tight to fit the larger sodium filled stems, think that Rover/bl/mg were not time less to fit valve stem seasl on the exhaust valves, they simply doesn't need them
