Won one of these off ebay a month or so ago, just giving it a visual inspection, and everything seems to be ok bar some very slight wear on the shaft.

its hardly anything, and should think it will be fine to use, but not having used one of these things before, just checking with you guys.

can spares be bought for these things? who manufactures them? JKD?

Cheers

Jo

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

it looks like it has picked up a shade

if its only a shade & its a tight fit
bearing fit the taper roller on to the shaft or...........(better).. .use....high strength stud lock!*wink*

would be better!!!

job sorted!

bearings are no problem, ive blagged quite a few free 'samples' from www.skf.com in the past through the uni.

phoned about today and it is made by JKD, rang them up and they only want £20 for a new shaft, so if it is a bit sus, its not gonna break the bank.

TBH i think Benross's idea of a bit of studlock should do the trick.

Cheers Guys

one more thing, does the small spacer go inbetween the 2 bearings (as in this picture)? I think JKD thought i was an idiot when i tried to explain.

I think its to stop over tightening/crush of the bearings.

thanks
