right finally got round to finishing my 1275 NA install. found a slight problem.

it wont go into gear lol, the car will roll down a hill in gear, and the clutch activates (well the lever moves). but when the engine is running it wont shift??

also the water is getting very hot very quick.......

i didnt stip it down before i put it in, as i have about 2 thousand other things to da at the moment....

sounds to me that the clutch is goosed!

as long as the arm is throwing over aqnd nothing is happning the pressure plate could be gone

iam afraid its a removal to sort it

the over heating could be a thermostat faulty not opening

check the operating temp with a gauge this will guid you in the right direction

keep us informed

ive just finished removing the clutch. and a new thermotat will be ordered tuesday.

did u set the spacers properly when re-assembling the clutch?
