.. went out in me car this afternoon for the first time after extensive engine/ gearbox work went about quarter of a mile everything ok, then it cut out wouldnt restart bullocks i thought. i was thinking the worst. phoned me missus to come and tow me back, she couldnt her keys were in my pocket and she couldnt use my car as it were blocked in by hers so asked her to send phil(me son) and his mates down to push me home. all very embarassing.
so what was up with it? id ran out of petrol.
put some in and hey presto.

anyway car feels ok just got to run it in now. theres a few noises to get used to sccr gears etc lol*smiley*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

Its easily done, I did this on mine when I had only had it running few days, went to start it up in the garage (just because I could, really) and it started up OK, and then just died, and wouldn't restart no matter what I did.

After about 45mins panicing and swapping various components it dawned on me to check the tank, and yes it was empty...........

I found the petrol pump switch once...

and assumed I'd broken everything as I was stuck across a roundabout lol

i, err i mean some one i know once spent 3 weekends in their youth playing with a moped trying to get it to run.

that may have run out of petrol too

and then there was retro cars last year......
