First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Hello

To save me cutting the floor on a new project, is it possible to fit a remote gearbox to a 1275a+ engine

im sure i read its possible if you use the a series idler and 3rd motion gear, but i cant find it anywhere

is this correct?

Yes, Easy. 3rd motion gear?? Just use some 4 sync A drops, and Jessica's your aunt!

yep as above - you need all the a series drop gears (including the primary gear on the crank), and a series transfer case too.

No the crankshaft gear has a smaller I/D on it

the 998 primary gear is different to the 1275 primary gear...

But, when that is said. It's possible to open the 998 primary up to 1275 spec and fit the correct bush. However, I tried and the gear was so fucking hard that this is NOT a worhtwhile mod in my book.
Minispares sell new primarys for £60 I think

problem solved now, thanks all guys

but benross has been ultra generous and saved me meaasing around trying to mate the 2
