A few people have used the Series 2 RS Turbo one. This is a fairly compact and effective unit. They are also fairly cheap and easy to come accross.

are they worth having them? i think the item is named *plenum pipe 4 intercooler* they always seem to go for quite a bit of money, i never knew if they were neccassary or not. I have a series 2 RS turbo intercooler ready to be fitted.... bought it off a mate for a fiver when he got a new pace intercooler NO LONGER A <3 lover of BOLT-ON plastic <3 .... quite a bit of work goes into those pipes that matt sells, if you work out the time envolved, I'd buy one On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

Whether you get one of those off him or not the work to fit the intercooler will be the same, just give it a go and see what you can squeeze in :) |

So who can provide the pipework needed, and at what cost?

Anywhere really. depends what you fancy doing. It can be made from steel pipes and silicon hoses, renault 5 turbo hosing can be used or just hunt the scrappy for hoses that fit. Its difficult to provide hoses as you may mount it slightly different to someone else or having something in the way. Its a pretty individual thing. :) |

take a look in "show me yours" under "turbo van" as mines in there showing how my intercooler is plumbed in. It just had the elbow cut off the plenum and the hoses mounted to the remaining bit. |
