Was woken last night at 12 to crys of THE METROS BEEN STOLEN!!! Two youths were nicking my Metro Turbo, By the time I had gotten out the car was well gone!! Phoned the police who said they would alert the patrols and given a crime number then said there was nothing they could do. Well after that was well gutted! The police have found the car its been rolled twice and the two lads are seriously ill in hospital. The copper also said that they are well known for nicking metros in the area so hopefully they will get their punishment!! Worse of all the car is a total write off. I am so gutted was gonna turn it into a drag strip warrior!!! So would like some reccomendations of a good alarm, Its a bit late now but definately going to have one fitted into my Fiesta zetec!!!

Shame as they're getting really rare now. I hate little scrotes like that, if they like metros so much, why not get a job and buy one. Bastards.

Although this is a bad story, you have to admit it's got a happy (at least for us law-abiding types) ending. You might never have seen it again, and the scrotes would have got away with it. As it is - they're (hopefully) pretty badly injured, and at the very least will be paying for their crimes via hospital food and then the courts.
Regarding the metro, sure - it's smashed up and a write-off. Hopefully it was insured at least against theft. You'll be able to purchase it from the insurance company for little-to-nothing and make a profit on the remaining parts via ebay.

All Category 1 alarms are much the same to be honest, stick to a make you have heard of and you'll not go far wrong, I have personally used Cobra and Toad before now and had no problems. Clifford are also supposed to be good but having said that a friend of mine had avery expensive Clifford alarm fitted to his car that was nothing but trouble, so up to you on that one.

gutted for you mate, but has already been said you maybe able to buy it back, reshell it or use the bits in a mini. did you have any alarm or immbilser on it?

as tom says any cat 1 should do, personally i hate cobras never had one but the ones on cars in work have loads of buttons always reset them selfs and go of when your working on them.

also a good sterring wheel lock will probably put them off to.

what annoys me is there well known to police, why the fuck are they still walking the streets, still robbing cars just waiting to run some innocent person over and kill them, nobheads thats all they are. it winds me up it does

It was insured luckly yeah as i wasnt going to because i couldnt affored too this month, but thank god me brother paid for it!!! It could have been worse like you say, could have been my mini! Couldnt sleep last night for thinking that it was going to be burnt out! I thought they would crash it, as i have had it for six months and still not really pushin it! I will be able to get it back so gonna go from there! It was good though because i had a original metro turbo and a modified turbo mini!!!

if somone nicked my mini i would want them to die in it to be truthfull!

Its wound me up more than the time that i sold my silver Metro Turbo to a chav on ebay, and he put a turbo suntrip on it, blacked the windows out and the lights out and put loads of crap stickers on it and some crap wheels.

This was it before he molested it...

Metro turbo weekend driver,Mini turbo in the making again!

It was running standard power, but had just picked up a intercooler and was looking at getting a janspeed for it. Turns out one lad has been released from hospital and has been arrested. but they will probably just get a slapped wrist!! The driver was 21 and the passenger was 19. The police man said one lad is doing up metros and is constantly robbing them! Is that the metro you sold a while back feeble for about £750? remember looking at the pictures but was too far away at the time!
