they look slightly different spacing to me. there is a difference to 998 and 1275 spacing. as long as you get the set that match the valves then it will be fine. they;re all the same lift etc. |

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be... So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'... On 26th Oct, 2004 Tom Fenton said:

Pretty sure they are all the same,It's only the roller tip ones you have to play with the spacing,as the roller is only on 2/3rd's the width of the tip.so you change them round for 1275 or 998 inlet to exhaust valve gap.

they are indeed all identicle, however check for wear, slack in the rocker on the shaft and rebuild if necessary. New shafts and selected rockers from a few old sets will see a vitrually brand new set for only £10 (new shaft cost). Edited by andeh on 12th May, 2006. I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

The bit you mention is a grub screw, it locates into the rocker shaft to stop it from rotating or moving axially.

theres no difference between them, i remember posting jsu that on miniclassic years ago whwen i noticed there was no difference and i remember a few regulars dissagreeing. the only difference(if you can call it that) is that the wear on teh rocker tip's will be different from 1275 to 998 due to valve positioning. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
