I have just built turbo engine, when I first run it no smoke.

I have now been round the block a few times, now seems to have started smoking, seems like its rings have the plugs are well coated with oil.


Ideas welcome!!!

Let the rings bed into the bores.

what oil are you running?

what was involved in the rebuild?

new pistons and rings from morspeed, block bored and honed, oil jets, mains strap, new bearings, etc you get the picture basically new engine.


I thought it might be rings bedding but never seen a newly built engine smoke this much but I will see after giving a bit more of a run.

The oil is some cheap 10/40

Have the guides/seals been done

Yep head has new bronze guides from avonbar and new stem seals.
