Hi folks -

Is the sump nut from the Metro Turbo the same thread as an ordinary Mini sump nut? I managed to remove a well-rounded Metro Turbo sump nut by heating up a ring spanner and hammering it on but have just tried to fit a new Mini sump nut (thinking they'd be the same) and the thread on the new nut is alot wider than the thread in the sump???

*frown*

So are they different threads or have I been sent the wrong sump nut?

Jim

They are all the same as far as i'm aware - certainly anything up to the newest mini i've ever had to look at the sump plug of (1992ish).

Measure the od of the threads to compare, and then hold the threads of the two plugs next to each other to compare the pitch.
