Out of interest, those guys running 14psi boost and chasing big power, what needle are you running?

I was running the 8psi Avonbar needle whilst at 14psi on the rolling road with Peter Baldwin, but the crusing mixture at 70mph was a bit rich.
I'm running the Morspeed turbo challenge engine with forged pistons etc, T3 Turbo etc...

Just interested...*happy*

it's best to start with a standard BDD, and get Baldwin to do the rest.

BDD...I'll pick one up.
I'm looking for a decent rolling road with turbo'd a-series experience in or near to Lancashire.

Is Minisport any good setting up turbos?

A couple of us guys use Mikeanics in Congleton (5 or 6 miles off J18 M6). I wouldn't advise Minisport either.

feebleuk- Which rolling road will you be using?

Probably be looking to go in late June. I made the trip to Baldwins (4 hour drive from sunny Blackpool) about 6 weeks ago, and ended up coming home on a trailer (not his fault *oh well* )

Just got the rebuilt engine running and will have the running-in miles completed shortly, so it'll be time to go for setting up on the rollers soon.

My only thoughts were that it would be nice to find somewhere a bit more local than Wimpole this time...As long as they're good!

That would be good Phil, although I have no definite dates when I'll be going as yet.

I'll have to give this Mikeanics a call and have a chat, it might work out that I give him a try.

Baldwin was definitely good with setting it up, but by god 4 hours in the 4 speed turbo was quite a long trip lol! 55mph cruising speed...*happy*
