*wink* Well almost!!!

I have to have proof of my project for College having been done; so in the style of the Formula One show cars i have built a show engine!! To all intents and purposes it appears to be a complete engine but its minus a few crucial bits.

Hoping to have it done properly by the beginning of July! *happy*

Nic is actually a RUBBER mallet on the floor!!!

Cheers for all the comments guys, need to get the pistons in, valves in and the followers shimmed up, sort out all the cams, make some oil feed pipe up, make oil drains piping, sort out the inlets to hold the bike carbs, make an exhaust, and general setup etc.

Still loads to do!!!! :(

look much better than mine!!

Is there any chance you can take a photo of it end on, so I can work out how far out the thottle bodys stick out over the alternator etc. I'm trying to gauge how little room I have for an intercooler

The throttle bodies on it aren't staying for long, only mocked them up on them TBH. There isn't much clearance for a intercooler in my opinion unless u don't run a grill!!! A small alternator helps on the packaging on the front of the engine and obviously that helps. The water output on the front of the head is very tight on the top, to get the tension i shall have to run a shorter vee belt to obtain this.

I have soo much flying around in my head for plans for it that i need a bundle more time and cash to sort it out fully!!!!

Jim, this is the best side on view i have, the engine is now locked up at college for the project presentation on wednesday.

For those debating the conversion. You either need a big bundle of money or be very engineering/fabrication minded and have a slightly smaller bundle of money!!! Even doing everything myself my project costings for the presentation add up to £1200 which on a students budget is not very much!!!

The next build will be once i have some money behind me and it will get the best crank, rods and pistons i can afford!!!!! Still i am chuffed to have done it for about the same as buying a complete Minisport 7 Port head so i have achieved my aim.

Well after a quiet spell i decided to get it finally finished.

Have splashed out and got it all done. Had just had it running and its sounds the mutts!!!

Just got a few glitches to sort as my welding was not quite up to water on the thermostat and a slight weep from the oil sealing plate.

Soo happy its unreal, just need to trim the bonnet supports and address the above to go for a drive!!
