Hey people, how are yer all :)

Question

Are u turboing ur Mini to go fast for cheap? Or because u want to? My current plans for an engine are going to cost me a lot, but thats becasue i love mini's, and want to use my engineering background to develop an engine. it'll be 5 years before its done proably, but that doesnt worry me - ill have plenty of fun on the way.

As an example, rods will set me back around 800, crank 1500, pistons 650, turbo 750, management/fuelling 1k, cooling 500ish, plus all the machining and other bits. I'm far from rich, but want to do it properly, and it'll prob be a project that spans many years :)

Cheers, Rick.

For fun...

But you don't need to spend all that money! 650 on pistons? WHY! Forgd omega's are 450... what more do you need than them???
