Could someone tell me what the size and thread the bolts are that hold the timing chain cover in place.

Hi Nick, the small ones are 1/4" UNF, the larger ones are 5/16" UNF.

What length bolts did you use on yours to mount the bracket?

You need some that are approx 3/4" longer than the standard ones are to give you some room for adjustment.
