Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

no leave the subfame approach!

this is the wrong way to go about it

remove the engine from the top with the subby left alone

Yes Ben is right. Removing the subframe is just creating extra work and ballache for you! It will come out the top steady away!

It isn't tapered! It is a parallel roll pin! Or at least that is what it SHOULD be!

lol! Whoever *removed* my metro turbo engine was in a hurry, they angle grinded the selector shaft in half which is bit crap, lucky my n/a engine has a new one then*tongue*

With regards to taking engine out, leave the subframe in and go for the engine out the gap routine. Like feeble said unbolt anything you can see holding the engine in and hoik it out!!! I read the haynes first and drained the oil, removed the rad then just went apeshit and just unbolted anything i could see and it came out haha!

First remove all he ancillaries - turbo, gear linkage etc. Drop the exhaust - something less to bump into... disconnect the engine earth wire, engine mounts and pull the engine out.

I donated, but somehow didn't get the label! :(

Not very sunny swanage

get both haynes manuals if i were you... the mini ones the one you need, but a metro one is never a bad thing to have as it will have the turbo related bits..... best place to buy them is not ebay, but charity shops... expect to pay no more than a couple of quid for each!... then when they get dirty and covered in oil, recycle em and get a new one...... :)

And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers!
