I've aquired a set of +0.040 20773 pistons.

They are used but in reasonable condition. Described as very good condition by the seller.

The top ring grooves are about 0.070 wide, whereas the 2nd and 3rd grooves are the normal 0.062 wide.

Is this normal or are the top ring grooves knackered?

The Big Yellow book says they should be 0.062, but they are all the same and the gaps are consistant.

Help appreciated.

just measured my old ones, top = 0.064 middle = 0.062 bottom 0.062.

so it does seam bit big

Make sure you use 'buttons' and not the circlips on 2nd hand pistons, as the locatinf slots get buggerd quite quickly (the ones in my hand are.)

Pity, but I think they are scrap.

Worth a try for £11, but I'll try and get a refund.
