Hi i was just wondering if anyone could help me out.

There are a few things im looking to do to my mini and am unsure of the best way if at all possible.

Firstly smoothing the lock off the boot i have a solenoid but am wondering what lock i can use on my mini that will work with this solenoid.

Also internal boot hinges has anyone done this can it be done.

And smoothing the side repeaters off is this legal?

Thanks for all your help any pictures of examples would be much appreciated

Thanks

not sure on the boot lock i think it will end up being a fully custom mechenism to work.
the side repeaters i think is to do with the year of the car, or something about if you can see the front or rear indicators from the side then its ok i think my tester was saying, but if you get freindly with a tester and have a crate of beer in the boot, most things are possible*wink*

i saw a really good mod the other day with regards to hidden hinges, basically you weld two poles vertically to the bootlid that slide into relevant holes in the boot roughly where the backs of the hinges would be, this makes the boot smooth, removable and lockable *happy*

theres no real answer to the things you are asking it gonna just be a case of messing around, trial and error and fabrication. *smiley*

no longer a series, but still 1.3 turbo.

i'm your your man done everything you ask! Gav got the right idea with the hinges and the lock get a 1 way motor with a spring on and use back of the old lock take the middle out and bolt it to the top of the motor and it will slide though keeping it in line so not much moding to do then make a plate to mount the motor on. side repeaters no probs i have a 1996 mini and i've done it the only rule is if you have them they must work.
