Somewhere around Swindon

i have been thinking very seriously recently about getting a will done, i really dont know what to do with things like the house cars ect ect ect, not being married or have kids ect does this mean the Gov gets a percentage?

i was thinking of just stating that everything is sold and left to my nieces but not sure if this is the right thing to do if everything is sold then thats a pretty clinical way of doing things

anyone else done a will?

I've got one - but it deffo needs updating...
TWO important things you should add in the will is:
1) that you are of sound body and mind,

2) that anyone who contests their sharing or distribution of the will in whole or part is to be excluded from the will, and their share is to be sold and the proceeds given to a charity of my choosing.

Get the lawyer to help you with that one - but if you've got family/friends/folks who might want a bit of the apple and make a song-and-dance over it, then definately include it...

Dragging up an old post here but I want to organise a will. I have a friend who has done a DIY will from staples and had it checked by a solicitor and it's apparently quite legal. Anyone got any experience of DIY wills?

Thanks

I'm waiting for my sister to pull her finger out and become a proper legal person, then I'll get her to do it!
