ok you clever sods,
who can work out how much draw i will be getting over the tops of my IDA ram pipes at speeds of 100 mph, they are sticking out of the bonnet by nearly 6" so are not be sitting still air and will be seing some serious wind .

as i'm now suspecting the front engine to be underperforming.
more so now i'n hitting higher top speeds, as after almost every run on gas that sees + 120mph the front engine is fuelled up and running lik a pig . the rear is no bother at all,

words like, ALOT, TOO MUCH,and LOADS, are acceptable but only in the absence of some proper maths as i already know this, lol.

Strikes me, that you know there is an issue, so why not make a deflector to throw the air over the ram pipes and experiment?

Once you know its LOTS, then you should go for an extra large ERA-style vent... but you probably need a different exhaust system for that, if you're still using chimneys!

I donated, but somehow didn't get the label! :(

yes dave you are correct , i have already made the mother of all scoops, the one i have had lying around for years ,[yes the big ugly flooker] but needs must so it has to go on for a trial.
and if it proves to work i will be getting a differeng ex man made up and a much prettier ram scoop thing made,

i just thought i pose a techie for those with too much time on there hands, lol.

I've been thinking of a "heightened" ERA vent myself...

I'll be dynoing my car with bot a 45DCOE and a 46IDA- It'll be interesteing to see the difference..
