Try losing the NGK POS's and switch to Champion C57C / QC57C.

*wink*

i use BP7EVX these have a reduced lenght and platinum tip etc. the only one i broke was due to detonation.

most people blame the plugs when they fail but its normaly due to something else.

try a different temperature range as sugested by Tom or if you fancy change make at the same time, as sugested by dave.

if its pinking or detonating then expect the plugs to fail, shortly followed by the pistons!!

cheers guys, but I found out that the plugs fail due to fauling. If I drive low revs than the plugs faul and stop sparking.
If I clean them its oke again.
I really need to get rid of the oil consumption. its allways cilinder nr 2 that causes this. Valve stem seal?

I was hoping for stem seals, but after some severe digging I found 2-off piston oil scrapers broken. I must have hurt it whilst assemly*blush* shame that I didnt notice it at that time.

Now question, has someone a few scraper rings kicking about?, they should be suitable for +060 pistons.
