hi

iv done a search but only found 2 links.

can you still buy the manifold/kit which places the turbo over the clutch housing which was made by janspeed (or anyother company)?
or will i have to make my own?
i also plan on using a T2.

i think it would be a good place to put it as it should get more air moving around it and it keeps it away from the carb!

any thoughts appriciated

cheers

At one time in the 80's Janspeed made a kit as you describe, yes.

However they are now extremely rare, the only one I have seen belongs to Turbo Phil, if you check out his website I think he has some info about it on there, http://www.turbo-mini.com (or something like that)

It does indeed have a homemade Janspeed style setup {though in that photo it doesn't}, i'm currently trying to get some photos of it when i see him.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

can somebody please explain the piont of the flexi on the manifold please? surely all of this will move together with the engine as one unit so no need for a flexi?

of is it a servicability type thing?

The bellows/flexi joint is to allow the expansion/contraction of the manifold from hot to cold to help reduce chances of cracking.
