The results are in i have disc degeneration at L5/S1 and degenerative change in L4/5

not really sure what the above is

solicitors letter has said this is permanent and will possibly get worse, he has also said that the degeneration could have been there before the accident but would not have surfaced for at least another 10 years

so the insurance will now argue that the damage to my back was there all along my back was basically vunarable, obviously my opinion is that i would have had at least 10 years pain free if the accident had not happened

is there any history of said probs in your family,?
do you do heavy manual work?.
did you have any probs with your back previously,? all these are relavent. and i'm sure you don't need us to tell you to stick to your guns ,
these fookers will do all they can to reduce liability.
and iff your breif starts sounding like he see's there point blow the fooker out.

wolfie i have had loads of back trouble after
breaking my back in two places 17 years ago

i had a L1/L2 "marked" wedge fracture
i was 12mm off of been in a chair ..Lucky really*oh well*

in you case
disc degeneration at L5/S1 and degenerative change in L4/5....is most peeps have this! and the bodys good at repairing things*wink*

S1 is vertebra is the last disc which is connected sacrum or hip!

L5 is the next one up from that, degenerative change in L4/5....is basically getting older nothing to worry about*wink*

bty&m the out look is good *happy*

but.... carls advice is spot on make em have it *wink**wink**wink**wink*
