unleaded heads have a stronger metal inserted into the valve seats to withstand the extra heat produced by the unleaded fuel better. If thew seats are the Same metal as the rest of the combustion chamber then its a leaded head, altho what maybe cheaper than getting an unleaded conversion is buying additives off ebay from the likes of this guy.......
