Hi guys. My new little mayfair auto has been over heating loads lately. She runs really hot anyway, Bout 90-100 degrees. But lately shes been goin to 110-115. even on a run at 60mph on a dual carriage way. Ive changed the rad, changed the thermostat( even tried taking it out). I have a good flow of water when i take off the top hose.

Please help.

would I be correct in thinking the auto's have an oil cooler?

maybe its an oil problem as oppose to water?

I dont think it has an oil cooler, not that i can see anyway. I changed the head gasget the other day as someone suggested that. He was right, all 4bores full of water, i couldn't believe it. But guess what? she still overheats, just not as bad now.

Ok, so if you have changed the rad and you think it has OK flow it looks like it is an overheating problem not an under cooling problem. It could be a few things, to advanced ignition, running lean or all the water ways blocked up.

The increase in overheating could be explained by the increase in ambient of course.
