Hello Boys,

well its time i need to upgrade the clutch, i have a AP comp plate and a orange diaphram with two spring plates on the flywheel.

my clutch is just starting to slip again when the boost is up around 15psi,i must admit i have never been overly nice to the clutch and have slipped it on a few occassions.

the clutch plate i think is ok but i think i just need more clamping force.

Dave and Jimster i can see you use the grey cover does it have much more clamping than the orange ?

so you think my plate should be ok but get a grey cover and machine the posts on the flywheel down to 23.5mm and still use the two spring plates on the flywheel?

thanks

thanks guys

I'm always slipping my clutch on the drag strip...
All i can recommend is what i do, as its the result of research and it works.

Grey is 'reputed' to be good for 110lb ft i recall, wheras the orange is good for only 85lb ft.

With the AP organic plate, and the mods i've done, it has no problem holding 150lb ft
