Hey guys i was just wondering. With the mini at about 180bhp+ does it have trouble hooking up??? Or is it pure acceleration with good traction??

I am interested because minis are quite light and with putting that much power to front wheels i wonder at what horsepower level it becomes difficult to hookup. How much does a LSD help??

Thanks Paul de Boer

know it, build it, drive it

Paul - anything over 120bhp in a "light" Mini will require good foot control to get max acceleration or you'll just spin the tyres up. Heavier fwd cars reach the same sort of threshold at about 150-160bhp, hence a mini with 180bhp is to be treated with care!

If Carling made Mini engines
it would probably be like this one!
