For those of you that dont know, i traveled over 600 miles to pickup a metro turbo from ebay, and since ive got it home, the 61k mint car has just broke down and caused nothing but problems!

Now, the dif housing has cracked and its leaking oil everywhere, it dropped the lot in sinasburys! The gearbox wasnt too good anyway, but i have a spare 1.3 block with a really good gearbox on it. Already started removing things.

The engien will be coming out, im going to fit that gearbox and dif along with it, and hopefully put it stragith in my mini, sod the metro! My mini has no engine in it at the moment, its become a abandoned vtec project!

Got somone coming round this weekend to weld me in a turbo box, everything else on the car is mint, all new interior and recent panels and new subframes and stuff.

Will it be a straight swap over for the gearboxes? Not bothered about the final drive if that alters? It was from a F reg metro, the bottom end on it has gone. If anyone wants to buy the unleaded 1.3 head off it thats also available.

Im going to get some photos tomorow of the cars. The aim for the metro is for to just drop a standard 1.3 in it and sell it as a turboless mg metro, its got almost a years MOT and tax on it and its completely solid everywhere ,its been garaged and its completely mint so i should get a few hundred for it.

Will try post pics asap, just a bit annoyed with the metro! Going to order some solid engine mounts and do a bit of research on the fuel pumps and things. Think the best idea will be to get another knackered rusty 1.3 metro to take everything off to put on the metro turbo engine wise.

How much for the unleaded head?

Dont know how much its worth! Its not a turbo one its just an unleaded 1.3, also have a unleaded 1litre one. Could supply all the rockers and stems and studs and everything with each one if needed, also they both have copper headgaskets, the one litre one was hardly used, the 1.3 one managed to do about 3 miles on it before bottom end gave in! lol
