Hi, was looking at jims mini and noticed the top part of his front panel removes, how can you do this without removing strength? I was thinking make some flaps on the ends of each edge, and dril holes in those and the front panel part for bolts, but it is a main structual beam? The peice of metal which I removed is so weak I can't see it doing much apart from giving the grill something to screw to, and something for the bonnet catch to latch on to On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

ok great, im going to make mine bolt on and off, just wanted to check that i wasnt going to fail its MOT or something as stupid as that when i take it in! Will make the install a hell of alot easier! Previous Engine: 1040cc Morespeed engine, 1275 turbo head T2 Turbo Mirage Manifolds Megajolt

ooh, bin thinking about doin this too... only trouble is my bonet is only latched to the panel so id have to get it to lign up well and be secure :S turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
