Would one of these be ok for a Mini running a t3, how easy are they to 'adjust'. I'm planning to run 12-15psi.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

in short Yes*smiley*

i would get a 8psi actuator and then bleed the signal off to take in to a higher boost pressures

do a search on hear about different ways to bleed the signal off to the actuator

if you get one say set at 15 psi you can not go down!

its nice to run say 8psi if you want to go cruising for the day

*wink*

Slightly off the topic, out of interest the actuator advertised on ebay states it's a -31 but what does -31 mean? , I've seen it on alot actuator (specifically T3 & T4) but I've no idea what it means.

Thanks Benross, the actuator listed says that is adjustable, how easy will it be to adjust it or would it be better to set it and then bleed the signal off with a MBC to increase boost?

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i assume its adjustable by changing the springs?

i've got a forge one.

they have different spring fitted

say, different one for 8 to 16 psi !
if you have an 8psi actuator there is some adjustment from say 6 psi to 10

and the 16psi one would go say from 14ish to 18ish.....

how you alter this is by in creasing the rod length or shortening it

i would get a 8psi one and bleed the signal off to achieve the desired boost using an MBC like you mentioned *wink*

I think the -31 refers to the operating pressure in some funny measurement like inches of mercury,

im pretty sure 31 hg/in is around 15 psi,

Thanks guys, i think the best bet is to get an avonbar 8 psi actuator, that way i'll know exactly what i'm getting, then bleed off to achieve a higher boost. MBC or bleed valve though?

i think the avonbar one may be the same as the collins one, it certainly looks very similar

Yeh i agree, just working on the principle that avonbar will be a bit more knowledgable if i run into any problems
