my mini broke again

the last two days me and the grumpy mechanic have been working solid on my mini, replacing the turbo that jon flanigan had supplied me and a few other jobs that i had been meaning to do.

i got it bk on the road and it wouldnt rev over 4000 rpm i found out that the turbo had sucked in my pipercross filter sock and jammed it, so i sorted that and went a quick drive up the local boy racer hang out spot. i was coming down the d road racing a saxo vts gaining a gap on him until tap tap tap tap BANG! the whole road filled with smoke as my head gasket chucked itself out of the side of the engine and i had to wait for the recovery truck to come. o how we laughed. i felt like a real hero

so what head gaskets do you guys use? its a 1380 which is mildly cammed it will be running 10 psi aswell. last night it was probly about 18psi i havnt fitted my gauge yet we just adjusted it to fast mode

did it suck the pipercross right down the air intake pipe into the turbo?

i had the filter straight on the turbo it sort of just sucked it into a big ball and pushed against the turbo n stopped it spining around a tiny bit of the air filters gone missing but its only soft foam so i shudnt imagine it doing alot.

You really want a tube from the turbo so you can have the filter by some fresher air.

As for running 18psi when it's not setup, are you mad? Still as long as you got oil all over the Saxo.

We all use BK450 gaskets.
