hi, my dad and myself are buliding a trbo engine for my mini this summer based on an mg metro block/box. we will be fitting a big valve head, kent 286 cam, a few other bits

was wondering how hard it would be to fit a t2 turbo? can it be made to fit by fabricating adaptor plates or does a whole new manifold have to be made
aslo, im looking at an intercooler. problem is fitting one in. was wondering what would be best to fit inder a round nose mini. am fitting a 10 row oil cooler at the front, leaving less space:(

my dad has built loads of good engines before, just not any with turbos, so any advice wold be appreciated

Adaptor plates can be machined up to convert the fittings on the standard manifold.

Infact Jimster on this site sells them....

I am a big fan of the mirage setup, a complete set of exhaust manifolds designed for a T2 and no modifications to the bulkhead, Contact member Mirage on this site for more details.

the 286 cam for get it on a turbo motor

the oil cooler no more than 6 rows, is a waste of room and expence*wink*

It can be fitted with an adaptor plate but this will require a bulk head box to be fitted to clear the turbo. Or you can go down the custom manifold which alow you to fit a T2 without a bulkhead box out of the after market manifolds Mirage are the most well know and have a good rep.
