hi i'm just about to put an mg metro turbo engine in my mini but am unsure exactly how to put the avonbar turbo box in, the instructions i got were crap, is it 50mm from the right hand hole on the left of the engine stabilizer bracket, as you can't tell from the instructions, a lot of people have also said to put it lower and to the left a bit is this right? please help

You can't put it lower...
Look in the 'how to' section for the correct orientation...

right hand side... you open up the cross member, which is a box section, so the plate is to close it off nicly.

I have heard some people say that even with the box fiited they had not got enough room to fit the turbo.

I fitted mine and had no probs! thing to remember is to sit the engine in, before fitting any mounting tilt the engine forward and put the turbo on and then tilt it back and bolt down the mountings

Paul.

usually the reason people complain is that they didn't leave enough room for the actuator...

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Yep, check the how to's as dave said, it shows everything you need. I put the box in and there was plenty of room, needed to be slightly lower if anything. Make sure you cut off a nice big corner on the crossmember, that little plate avonbar and the like sell seems far to small. You'll thank yourself when it comes to fit the inlet air pipe!!! *happy*
