I've recently had my enigine rebuilt with a new block. When i originally had it built, i had an oil cooler fitted. The hose that went fromn the block to the filter screwed straight into the block on a parallel thread (NPT ???).

not 100% sure but i think its 5/8" NPT

cheers, i thought that they were all the same size, and then this happens.

The only time they changed was about 1992 onwards, with the injection engines. For some reason these blocks use a different thread for this pipe.

i know it was a newish block from minisport, (only a few years old) so this might explain it.
