with my wiper motor connected, it gets really hot.

It doesnt actually wipe the windows. Ive disconnected it, do you think its a faulty wiper motor or faulty wiring?

Near Daventry, midlands

if it gets really hot it could also be a stuck mechanism, i would personally make sure its free before going to the ballache of checking the wiring.

I've seen the future and tbh its Pie

ive checked all the wiring to the motor, found the earth, found a permanent live, and switchable live too that activates with the switch. Its going to be difficult to change now everythings fitted. I think it will just be stuck, everything else was that was left on the car from being stood as a shell for so many years.

Going to change the alternator too because its slightly grinding

took it apart and the big wheel inside wasnt turning, i sanded the axel of it and sloped loads of greese everywhere and all in the wheel boxes and it works really well now. It must have been years and years old it was full of rust
