hi, ive managed to get the car driving now, ive basically modified the low MAP low Rev values of the TT map as mine was previously struggling to set off at all.

Here is my map so far...

Had some great fun altering the values and testing it today it gets really addictive! :)

The two things i want to do next is..
a) there is a half second flat spot when setting off at the very start, sometimes with a slight pop through exhaust, i wondered how to get rid of this.
b) When driving along, if you change up gear without using the full revs of the previous gear, eg, 2nd gear up to 3500 rpm then into 4th, it bogs down a bit and is a bit slow. Maybe this is because its only a 1040cc turbo. Im thinking that i should lower the values in the area of the table that is high MAP and low revs?

Thankyou so much for any opinions on my map

Heres some pics from today

I have to drive it to the rolling road, and i wouldnt mind getting it running well before.

By the way, i also tried driving it with all the values set as 25, 22 and 20 and it was almost completely undrivable glad i didnt go the locked dizzy route

Are you sure that your pully wheel and pickup are set in the right place can check by puting a timing light on and checking that when your map says for example 22 deg your engine is running at 22 deg mine was 10 deg out and fooled me for a while.

hi allan its one of tom fentons so theres only one way to put it on i think

When i had all the values set to 25, i put the timing light on and shone it at the spikes and the little groove was just below the bottom spike. Im not sure what the spikes mean properly though, is the first one from the top 2 and the rest go up in 4 or something?

the top spike is 0 degrees then each one down is 4 degrees dude.

best thing to do is set the idle @12 degrees and then see where the timing light puts it, this will let you know if its spot on or you need to adjust your map to suit.

basically 100 is atmospheric, below 100 is lower pressure and above is higher (boost).

to do the math(s) psi = KPa / 6.89476.

To get the boost pressure that you are running (as this is boost pressure above atmoaspheric) you need to subtract the atmospheric from the answer, so: psi = (KPa - 100) / 6.89476.

180 is around 12psi

fueling seems fine now, although rich most of the time. Ill do the 12 degrees thing and work out what bud666 suggested above

cool yeah actually it read double, but also gave two flashes, one on the exhaust stroke i think too so 180 out.

got it running really nice now and lambda reading is good. Been tweaking the tt map loads to get it smooth with only a few flatspots.
