Its not unknown for certain companies to change criteria during the term of a policy.

i had something similar with mine when it was last on the road. the policy came to an end and the renewal price was twice what it was originaly. reading the print they said that the current underwriter was no longer willing to insure the vehicle so the broker gave me their next lowest premium, yeh! right! don't think so!

Insurance companies also push their premiums up considerably after the second year, and when you phone to complain that you can get it cheaper elsewhere they are quick to point out that it is an introductary offer. So what! I'll renew every year and take advantage of those introductary offers then! Some companies will price match at that point which shows its all just a load of bollox!

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Watch out for Adrian Flux
by far the cheapest hence why i renewed with them but if you pay monthly the terms are ridiculous!

also threatening to cancel my policy as my gf cant find her paper license counterpart to photocopy as a named driver!
never been requested for a photocopy of my license before let alone additional drivers >.<

starting to remember why i left them after my first years insurance!

One of the compensations for getting old, as well as being a long standing club member with a club insurance scheme - I insure both the blobule and the van, comprehensive, agreed value, no mileage limitation, both turbocharged and all mods declared and the renewal, due in the next 10 days, is £112.

I remember hearing and seeing pictures of that. I'd rather be in Pauls position and be hit up the arse at 70 by a wall than any speed in a volvo haha.

Adrian Flux aren't supposed to sell heavily modified car insurance, so you're lucky if you can get insured with them in the first place.

It usually depends entirely on who you speak to when you get a quote/re-quote.

I tried Admiral but it ended up significantly cheaper insuring the cars separately
