Just a quick question i no I have to fit a rear fog light for not purposes but I want to use as small a light as possible. What small rear fog lights have people used on there cars pics would be a bonus.

Cheers

rewire the o/s reverse light into a fog and paint the lense red if you dont want anything showing

if you want something seperate i would look at a rain light as they are very small

A fog light can go bottom right of the rear window as it still falls within mot regs for placement.

I literally just took the one off my rear valance, bent the bracket a bit and bolted it to the parcel shelf, you barely notice it there.

thats the best one and as carl says
stick it in the back window, cars are more likely to see it at that height too

You will get alot of reflection if installed behind the rear window

I shrouded mine to the screen, but in all fairness I used it once in two years anyway.

There are some cool LED ones available that look ok mounted behind the rear screen. They are quite small.

If a car is pre 1980 does it not need one?

Nope. Not for an MOT, anyway.

I've got a VW Beetle fog lamp recessed into the valance. I also did the same for the reverse lamp when switching my '89 to MK2 rear lamps.

I've just fitted a carbon rear valence and not keen on cutting holes in it

If you're going for a classic look, then I'd go for a Lucas L494. They come up on eBay all the time and you can even buy repro ones.

Just for the sake of being a pedant, converting one reversing lamp into a fog lamp does not conform to construction and use regulations that stipulates there must be at least 100mm between a stop lamp and a 'fog' lamp.

Then again, who the fuck is going to know that and be bothered to apply it? *happy*
