I think its about time i went to engine management and ditch the dizzy. I just have a few questions for my application. Or should i go for a different management system?
1293 n/a with a Weber

TPS/MAP Ive heard that TPS works better for lairy cams i have a 310, so what do you suggest?

Does the ford coil pack cope well with higher revs? i read somewhere that this might be a weak point, I rev mine to 7400 ish

Is there any rolling roads in the Midlands that are good with Megajolt? All that ive read about are up north abit to far for me.

Thanks

I ran my full race 1380 on megajolt with Weber 45 TPS sensor, worked perfectly at 8.5k. Difference in drivability over a modified aldon red was night & day. Still got the Webcon TPS & bracket if needed.

i have mj on my 1330 with a 45 weber with no issues and rev limit is set at 7k.
i used the vacuum take offs and t pieced them together to supply the signal to mj as MAP, also fitted an anti surge valve to carm the signal down.

Mines running MAP with a 295 cam and 45 weber. MAP signal is nice and smooth and works really well.
Got it mapped to 8k and shifting at 7500, not had any problems with any ford bits over the last 5 years - all still std ford parts.

I have a good TPS map for 1380, with 300degree cam, 11.5-1 CR, worked fine until a melted my pistons with a 60bhp shot of Nitrous.

Go to the crappy.
If you rev counter is RVC you have no problem with the megajolt...

edis4 has a rev counter output, thats if the car at the scappy has one fitted. works as a standard - pulse as per the coil to dizzy signal.

Where's the best place to get the mj unit from?

mj is hidden behind my dash with edis4 mounted in the space left of the servo on a alloy plate.

maps are the same but the load input is different. kPa or %

TPS mj can be converted to MAP and vise verse for around £20

If you want to save hassle with wiring in an EDIS module you can always check out our NODIZ Pro?

www.nodiz.co.uk
:)

A group buy was on here so lots of mini guys are running them now :)

Hi Matt

Glad to see your alive, I've been asked a few worrying questions whereby a forum member has had trouble contacting you (myself included).

Can you just confirm that you've spoken them also if you could respond to me. I've sent you 1/2 PM's here and also an email from your forum and still not had a response from. Luckily im not really in a rush but if people are to buy your product they least need confidence that there is some customer support available of which i know your normally good at :)

once you have had mega you won't go back, it does everything you need for a mini imo and gives you piece of mind in the wet, snow and cold. TPS runs off your throttle position, as where map runs off your manifold atmospheric pressure. MAP is better for turbo's TPS for N/A. All the bits you need are readily availiable and sometimes you can buy the whole kit second hand if you have a look around.

its worth looking at the Polestar ecu before you decide, also you have a launch control option with it.
I swopped from the Megajolt and prefer it, no communication drop out issues you can get with the megajolt.

I have been thinking of polestar, as there's a rolling road near me thats a dealer. So would be a lot easier to get the car set up on a regular basis.
