personaly i wouldnt go for a big over bore and the injection would be better using megajolt stuff. either way its a lot of work

Who's worried about a lot of work ?!!

I think that the base idea is worthing the job with money , 1480 8 port injection , high boost for 300 target....hum!
my point on your project is that it is enormous. But with knowledge money and support nothing's impossible.
start with that stroked a series are using small big end "s" 625 ones, this not a major trouble as many stroked a series have showed, the forces going on em are more rod/piston weight/speed than combustion ones.this is ok for n/a and middles boost (<10/12psi), then you'll reverse the point , the combustion proccess will excess the load of rotating assy,if not tried I put my hand that you'll better go with the bigger 750 ones for larger surface contact, but this is pure sens, so tending to std stroke and big bore (1380), you'll also find some nice pistons to use,Omega,JE, Accralite ... my preference for the last ones ,the easier way is sometimes the best(and you'll have bigger troubles than this to solve...).
about the head , an eight port is perfect, injection also (mecanical kugel, , efi, mega..from the point it's well tuned), but this you know.
the clutch will certainly give you much troubles, you should take contact with Dave for this, or inspire from what Robert have made , this with a little help from lockers (as in dragbike), will certainly do the job .
then the box and drops, I'm not really confident that the drops will survive at this sort of treatment, even with straight cuts full bearings etc appart if you reduce the effective torque number and use it for a wider range (again the std stroke will pay) (8000/8500 rpm instead of 6/7000) this making a bigger output but with less torque , this point is crucial as the real weak point is the gearbox and drops. The gears, even if you keep them together with large straight cuts (turbo challenge, and or dog box), the casing doesn't like the load given on main bearing and layshaft supports, in many case it distord/ ovalise , sometimes (under higher torque) it simply break.some oil feed in layshat and idlers bearings will help, but it'll also need reinforcing at strategic points.
Then the genuine dif is a joke, you'll need a good strong diff, quaife have some favor, particulary mine since I've used it on pugs. then I don't know how the cv joints pot joints and shafts will do with that .
Now, traction or better saying untraction ,again I would tend to extend the power in the revs limiting torque number with precise boost control around gripping forces/mass/ inertia moment.
hope it'll help a little

ps : do you know this guy now living in France who have made sprints?
