If you shoot it, be careful. Doors hole quite easily when a 12 bore is fired at it.

Bugger, I can't find a pic of the damage. I'll keep searching

It's most likely a crow, if it is a Raven & you shoot it you could be in real trouble should you get caught.

Without wishing to get too technical in the eyes of our rather outdated legal system, most birds are protected by the various bits of the Widlife and Countryside Acts and such similar legislation. The few you can kill legally are covered by so called "General licence" which I'm pretty certain doesn't include Ravens.

Killing any birds outside of the "General Licence" for "sport" or just because you don't like what they do is not only illegal but rather questionable from a moral point of view.

Living in the country I see it happen a lot (illegally) but every now and then people get reported and sucessfully prosecuted.

we use a magpie trap, its acage with bate inside. then keep the crow in a cage next to it and all his friend come down to have a look, catch them to, then kill them all.

crows and magpies kill other small birds and make a racket,

Works a treat. And once trap you can reap your revenge.

You can eat them you know..
